Our I love to read month theme was “Race into Reading”. The gym teacher had some old tires in her storage room so we reinvented them as reading spots and created a bulletin board to match. We then took photos of students reading and posted them on our “Drivers of the Week” bulletin board. To top it off we hosted scooter races at recess. The kids were all revved up to read.
