Mark Hancock – New CUPE National President

While Justin Trudeau settles in as Prime Minister of Canada, CUPE National finds itself also in the midst of new leadership. As of November 6, 2015, Mark Hancock has succeeded Paul Moist as president of CUPE National. He has been a member of CUPE for 30 years and appears to have the confidence of our former president:

“ ‘Brother Mark is a dedicated activist and a proven leader, who I have had the pleasure and honour of working with for many years. He is a tireless trade unionist who will be a strong voice for CUPE members and all Canadian workers. I’m confident CUPE and the labour movement will grow even stronger under his leadership,’ said Moist.”
